We are pleased to announce the 31st Annual Meeting of The European Bone and Joint Infection Society 20-22 September 2012.

This year, Montreux is the host city of the EBJIS Conference. The city of the famous Jazz Festival is known worldwide for it’s absolutely spectacular position on the border of lake Geneva and surrounded by the Alps. The lake and the mountains invite the visitors for wonderful moments of swimming, wandering exploring and even mountaineering.

Montreux is easy to reach by car or train, and from the Geneva Airport it only takes about one hour to reach this resort town. All of the hotels are in walking distance and the intimity of the city will certainly reinforce our “esprit d’unité” which is so well developed in our society.

EBJIS 2012 will give us an occasion to compare and analyze animal models in osteoarticular infection research, discuss and reflect on the worldwide impact of osteoarticular infection. Updates on local and systemic antibiotic, discussions on the treatment of open fractures and finally presentations on the importance of pan-european databases and cohorts for the analysis of  implant related infections will be part of an exciting meeting.

The conference will be held in the Montreux Music & Convention Centre just on the lake shore. Besides the scientific programme, the central location and mild climate of Montreux should be an additional reason in itself, for delegates to attend the conference.
